Eventful Day

All dressed up to see the Easter Bunny!  He usually is dressed so casual (sweatpants, t-shirts, shorts) when he put this on, he looked so grown up.

Meeting the Easter bunny.
He was a little hesitant to sit next to the bunny, but I told him he needed to hurry up and do it so the bunny could hold Jax.

This was the closest thing we got to a smile. The Easter bunny kept hugging him and patting him on the back and chest.  I thought he was going to lose it...but he stayed calm and happy. We are so proud that he even sat in the same chair as the bunny.

After the visit with the bunny and some yummy dinner at 5 Guys and Fries, we came home and Jax had his first taste of thick cereal.   He didn't seem to mind it at all.  I am sure that he is used to the taste since we already put cereal in his bottle to help with his reflux, but it was a lot thicker.

I know this is a mean picture to post...but it cracks Jamie and I up!  When we were feeding Jax, Brody kept asking for his own yogurt (we assumed he thought that is what Jax was having).  Since we just had dinner he wasn't allowed to have any, but I told him he could have a bite of what Jax was eating.....and this was his reaction.
Happy baby!

Coloring Eggs

We had lots of fun coloring eggs yesterday!  Don't pay attention to my lovely hair...I had just worked out.  Brody can't wait for the Easter Bunny to come!  I think this Easter may end up being a 2nd Christmas for him.

 Jax loved watching us.
We broke out the baby carrier since Jax loves being carried facing outward.  We actually had 2 from when Brody was a baby (both of which we never used).  I am so glad we kept both!  Brody can carry around his baby Jax :)

Written Update

Sorry I haven’t post pics lately, I continue to have issues downloading them onto my computer. So I will just write what the latest updates have been  :)

Jax- Doing much much better! He is now 17 weeks. Right around 3 and a half months the colic seemed to fade away! He still has his crying fits, but nothing like before. The reflux is still pretty bad and is still taking Prevacid, but it doesn’t seem to bother him too much. He has started rolling over….both ways! I now have to have Brody stand by him if I have to step away for a second so he doesn’t roll off. I am making a prediction now that Jax will be my crazy climber and will walk before he is 1. He smiles so big all the time we think he looks like Jim Carey. He has discovered his feet and can not get enough of them. He holds them while in the swing, on the ground and even when he eats.

Brody- still the best big brother ever! Loves entertaining Jax. At the moment he loves pretend play. I am constantly hearing “mama- you be Captian Hook, I will be Jake and Jax will be Smee (he actually says Spee).” He changes who we are though out the day. Some of my characters have been robot gorilla, Captian Hook, scary bat and mommy cat. It’s quite funny when he changes who he is in the middle of us playing because he will spin in a circle every time he changes characters. He always includes Jax which is great! He definitely has a mind of his own and knows what he wants. He has also pretty much faded out naps, but will on occasion have quite time in his room. He is all signed up for pre-school next year and we can not be more excited…especially since Lauren will be his teacher, we are working on saying “Ms. Bailys”

House is coming along as you can tell from recent pics. Still on track to close on August 12th.

Happy
