Too early

Jax is on the move!  Not only is he army crawling at super sonic speeds to anywhere and everywhere he is not supposed to be, he is now pulling himself up to standing.  8 months just seems too early to be doing this...especially since Brody didn't even want to straighten his legs till he was much older :)  The pack n play had be lowered and now our "gates" (boxes we are using to move) are just enabling him to stand.  We can not take our eyes off of him for more than a second.  Thankfully if we do, Brody is pretty quick to let us know what is going on or will go over to him so make sure he doesn't fall (too cute!).  He is quite the climber.  These pics show him at the bottom of our steps, but just today he was able to pull himself up to the 2nd step. 

Always a smile for the camera!  I swear he hears the camera sound and flashes a smile no matter what is going on.  His smile melts our hearts!!

As well as baby mum mums :)  I found these randomly at the store the other day, and he can't get enough.  They say they arn't messy like teething biscuits, but Jax is out to prove that wrong.  They are nice because he can hold it and put it in his mouth unlike puffs which he just likes to throw on the floor or crush in his hands.

2 more weeks!

I still can't believe everytime we walk into our new house that it will be ours.  Words can not express how blessed we feel.  We have finally started packing up the condo and of course Brody loves helping tape the boxes up and writing on them.  We started boxing up his room a few days ago and he wrote his name all by himself!  He was so proud, and we could not be happier.

No more swing

We got our wonderful swing from Jamie's co-workers, and we have loved it!  For a while when Jax was first born it was the only thing he would sleep in.  As of last week, we have had to stop using the swing because he does not want to relax and lay back/sleep in it anymore.  He now just likes to sit right up and try and look to see what is going on :)

We will keep in in the living room till we move which is annoying since it takes up so much space, but at least Brody and Jax have found other ways to use it.

Random Jax Pics

Jax has had a steady flow of teeth come in (bottom 2 and front 4).  Apple slices really seemed to help since he could pick them up and hold them in his mouth himself.  Kinda looked like he was holding a cigar.



He is army crawling everywhere!

Most of his favorite toys are not toys at all.  Hangers, the register and anything that makes crunchy noises are just to name a few. If you noticed in the background is our wall of pillows (very cute and decorative).  For some reason his favorite place to crawl is entertainment center (probably because he could hurt himself) which is glass, so we had to put up the pillows to block his way.  He still tries to crawl between the cracks. :)
