13 months...and then some

Ok, so I realize that I missed posting pics of Jax's b-day by about a month and some days...but that is the story of my life :)  He had a great birthday...loved his cake which was total opposite than Brody who cried and didn't even try it.  A big thanks to our good friend Jenny for taking the pics!  It's hard to imagine that he is 1. Where did the time go!?  We are so thankful that he has made full circle and is such a happy and healthy baby (I guess not a baby anymore).   He is still not walking...in fact he does not like it when you try to make him stand or try to walk with him holding his hands.  He will either flop to the ground or yell every step he takes :)  He does cruise like no other, can go up and down the stairsk and can now pull himself up on the couch.  Brody didn't walk till 15 months, so I am in no rush and apparently he isn't either.  Although he is pretty skinny I swear he eats all of the time!  His face lights up when he Brody walks into a room and they play so well together.  You can already tell that Jax wants to do everything his big brother does.  We are so excited to see what this next year will bring.
Brody thought it would be a good idea to decorate Jax's birthday cake with Puffs! Great idea!  He helped grandma Dorothy before the party.

Christmas

The loot :)

Opening stalkings with dada.  Brody was up at 7, Jax decided to sleep till 10.
After patiently waiting on Jax to wake up, we let Brody open a present.
Mamo and Papa came over for breakfast and present opening.

Finally after most of the presents were opened (we just couldn't wait...sorry Jax!) Brody helped Jax open his gifts.

Random Holiday

Our good friend Eric came to visit from Baltimore right before Christmas.  He helped us decorate cookies :)

 Santa hat and elf shoes!

Last year

Yes I know I am way behind, but better late then never right?  Here is our Christmas tree!  Clark Griswald style!

Getting ready to see Santa :)  We actually didn't go until a week before Christmas.
Hard to see in this pic, but to our suprise Jax did not want to have anything do with Santa.  Brody per usual just sat calmly while we tried to keep Jax on Santas lap.

This was the best photo we got of both of them looking at the camera!  Hahahah...no one including Santa looks happy.

After we took Jax away, Brody was very content and happy to have a good conversation with Santa.

Finally!

My apologies that you have had to stare at me 9 months preggo for the past month!  Yes I know I am way behind in posting...I keep getting reminders from everyone and actually suprised I haven't gotten any threatening texts from Marybeth about it.  So here is a few random pics for now :)

Hmmmm...what to eat?  Jax loves when the fridge is open, he starts crying when we shut it especially if he is standing in front of it.  He actually gets mad when we shut a lot of doors...bathroom door (he loves playing in the bathroom and crawling around in the shower and if we leave the potty open he has tried to spash around in it), basement door (he really loves playing in the basement and if someone opens the door he crawls as fast as he can to get to the door then screams if he can't go down), door to the garage (loves being outside and doesn't like it when we go in and out).

Anytime the boys are eating together which is always, Brody makes sure Jax is sitting right next to him.

Last year

All I can do is laugh when I see this picture.  Hard to believe that this time last year this is what I looked like!!  I look like I could have been carrying twins!!  Just turned out to be 1 10lb baby boy :)   Note to self...if I ever get preggo again...do not wear this shirt.

Can't say no

Jax is everywhere these days. He isn't walking but he is cruising and crawling very fast...especially to places he shouldn't be going.   We got some curtians for our kitchen door and right after we bought them my first thought was..I wonder when Jax will pull them down :)  No sooner then putting them up, he crawled right for it.  It was useless to say no, since the curtian is in the kitchen.  Turns out he actually just likes playing peek-a-boo with it, and when he looks at me with this face, how could I say no?!

Besides being everywhere, he likes getting into anything and everything.  I left the room for a few minutes and when I returned he was having fun with the wipes :)

Personally I don't like buying both boys the same shirt or matching outfits.  On the random occasion that I do, they don't wear it at the same time.  I saw these air force shirts with jets and just couldn't say no...I had to do it for Nay Nay. It was too cute because Brody was so excited for him and Jax to match.

Halloween Part 2

On the 31st we went to Mamo and Papa's house for more trick or treating! I didn't take many pics (sorry about that). But we again had lots of fun!  The weather turned out to be great and Brody got lots of candy.  We were done with about an hour left which was fine because Brody loved passing out candy to the kids.  Brody asked me what I was and my only answer I could think of was "your mom."  Maybe next year I will have to dress up.  The only thing we missed was Jamie and Papa :(

We got to stop by Brody and Jax's cousin Leightons house.  We couldn't get them to smile at the same time...or even smile at all....these are memories people!  :)

Halloween

Trick or treat was on Thursday in our neighborhood..I think we got 4 total kids.  It was a little cold and wet, but we had lots of fun.  Brody did not want to wear his mask because he said he could not see good out of it (such a safe kid!).  So facepaint did the trick...you can compliment me later on my talents :)

Watch out for Spiderman!!
And his cute little sidekick...Jax Smurf

We were happy that Mamo came and joined us!
The loot....since we don't get many trick or treaters on our street a lot of the houses gave Brody regular sized candy bars!

"Actual" birthday

After his birthday party with the family on the 15th, we told Brody we would do something small as a family on his actual birthday (the 18th).  All day on the 18th he kept saying "it's my actual birthday and I am really 4!"  I asked him what he would like to eat for dessert...he could make a cake with me, go out for ice cream, make cookies...really whatever he wanted.  He decided he wanted to make a cake :)  So we went to the store and he picked out a yellow cake, chocolate icing and marshmellows and sprinkles to decorate.  While at the store I asked if he wanted to take a special treat into school and picked out candy corn and popcorn.  Salty and sweet! I couldn't have picked it better myself.

Sometimes he likes to pick out what he wears for the day...after he came down stairs he said he was "ready for winter"  :)
