Birthday party #2

We celebrated Brodyfest on the 23rd with the family. Since Brody was obsessed with Halloween, we decided to run with it! I made the cupcakes with help from Mamo and Papa and they turned out really cute! Thanks to Lauren for making dirt (or coffee) whichever you want to call it :)

Playing with cousin Owen!

Lot's of fun opening presents! He did really good opening and "reading" all the cards.
Thanks Drew and Nicole for the sled!

All the cousins together playing with the new toys.

The new addition to our family "Kate" the dinosaur :)
Having fun with Mamo and Papa in his new helmet.

Birthday!

Per usual I am behind on my posts, but better late then never :) These pics were taken on Brody's b-day (Oct. 18th). It's hard to believe my baby is 3 years old! Brody got to pick what he wanted for his b-day dinner and his choice was beef stroganoff and salad :)

Of course there had to be an Ironman cake

Trick or Treat part 1

After I was so proud of myself for planning ahead this Halloween (something I never do) and Brody deciding he wanted to be a scary ghost, 2 weeks ago he became obsessed with Ironman....He hasn't even seen the movie! Jamie started singing the Ironman song and it was downhill from there. Since we already had a ghost costume and 2 other skeleton costumes (thank you Mamo) I was not going get him another costume. I did get him an Ironman bag for his candy and thought that would be a good compromise. At his b-day party on Saturday, after all the presents had been opened Mamo and Papa brought out one last gift. And yes, it was an Ironman costume! :)

We went to Emmy's (Brody's BFF and future wife) house and went trick or treating with them. The kids had a great time.

After walking around for about 10 minutes, we had to come back to the house and get some layers on. It was freezing out!

Apple Picking

We went apple picking a few weekends ago with Travis and Lauren. It was a great time!

Most of the good apples were of course high up in the trees, so Travis and Jamie had to climb and jump to get them.

And work as a team to get them down :)

Family Pics

A friend of ours is starting a new career in photography and is doing an amazing job. She was so kind to offer to take family pics of us this past weekend. Click on the blog that says gwenzac to see :)

A few other updates:
Pregnancy- I am 32 weeks this week and had a Dr. appointment today. All is good! The appointments are very uneventful...usually lasting 5 minutes or less, but Brody loves going and chatting it up with the nurses and doctors.

Brody- The binkie fairy came yesterday and Brody finally gave his binkie up. Although at the time I think he was more interested in what the binkie fairy had brought him (geo trax airplane track) then realizing what he was actually having to do to get it. He did great sleeping through the night last night, but did not take a nap today. When I went in his room he said "I can't sleep because I miss my binkie." Ok...that broke my heart, and I felt bad, but didn't give in. The binkie is officially gone (given to the babies who need them more). It does make him more of a little man than my little baby now that he doesn't have it.

Baby Update

I apologize for not posting much lately. School started back up and I have been super busy. I haven't posted much about the the new baby on the way, but that is a good thing :) I have been feeling great, besides the massive heartburn I get from eating just about anything. I will be 31 weeks and all looks good. The Dr. says the baby is measuring about a week ahead of schedule, but they are still keeping my due date December 8th. Brody loves coming to the doctor appointments with us and listening to the heartbeat :) He really seems excited about being a big brother. He is always talking about how he is going to hold baby Jax, buy him a blanket like his and give him a binkie. We think he is going to be a great big brother.

Halloween

We have started early this year on Halloween. What a difference a year makes! Last year, Brody wanted nothing to do with his cute lion costume and we basically had to bribe him to wear it. This year however, he wants to be a scary ghost or a skeleton. So my mom went out and bought him a "ghost mask". When she showed us, I almost passed out because she had bought the mask from the movie Scream. She apparently had no clue what is was from. While I was freaking out Brody loved it! Can't you just picture it? A 3 year old going as a psycho killer for Halloween....not what I had in mind :) So as of right now, he loves wearing the mask around the house trying to scare us. We are in search of a more friendly ghost costume.

This was the second costume my mom found...cute right?

Gymnastics

Brody has been taking a gymnastics class or as he calls it "nastics" for the past month and loves it :) His favorite part is jumping on the trampoline. At home all he wants to do is forward and backward rolls. We are going to continue the class for about another month, then soccer!

Say Cheese!

Brody really likes taking pictures around the house with our camera. He has really started liking it when we take pictures of him making "funny faces"

Random summer pics

Playing in the bounce house at his best friend Emmy's 3rd birthday party.

We went to the Ohio State Fair and had lots of fun. Brody was still too little to ride any of the rides, but he loved playing the games and eating lots of food. We attempted the carosel, but he was not a fan, so I just held him the whole time.

Playing with his cousin Owen.
We went to Touch a Truck in Westerville, and even though we were both dripping in sweat Brody loved sitting in all of the cars and trucks.
